Prime Minister Charlot Salwai said that if the maritime boundary of the melanesian countries remained unsolved then they are not fully independent. Mr Salwai told the chairman of Melanesian Spearhead Group, Manasseh Sogavare this week in Port Vila that MSG has to implement the resolution of Leaders Summit to agree with their maritime boundary. He said that under the resolution, the melanesian countries were supposed to fix their boundaries. The dateline was already last year.
Mr Salwai told his counterpart from Solomon Islands the independence of the melanesian countries is not complete if they is no maritime boundary.
