French government through the ambassador of french in Vanuatu, Alain Duboispean has officially announced today to Prime Minister, Charlot Salwai that there is no longer visa for Vanuatu citizens to enter the french territory of New Caledonia.
Mr Duboispean officially announced the information he received from France during lunch on board of french navy today.
The ambassador thanked Vanuatu government for its support to make New Caledonia and French Polynesia become members of South Pacific Forum during the recent leaders summit in Micronesia.
The official declaration was witnessed by the minister of finance, Gaetan Pikioune and the minister of the education, Jean Pierre Nirua.
During the recent visit this year of the president of territorial government of New Caledonia, he told Mr Salwai that Ni-Vans will inter the territory for short visit without visa.
