Conspiracy: Lawyers may face disciplinary action from the Judicial Service Commission

Justice Richard Chetwynd said that he only charged the suspects that have been charged with conspiracy to defeat the course of justice.

Justice Chetwynd said in court yesterday when he convicted 11 former MPs and a lawyer that the bar will deal with other four lawyers who have been witnesses of the prosecutor during the conspiracy case.

The names of lawyers appeared in the meeting at Mangoes, Ministry of Public Utility and parliament.

They were suspected in the conspiracy case but later become as prosecution witnesses.

One of them, Wilson Iauma decided to remain as one of the suspects.

Mr Iauma was appointed as acting ombudsman when Marcelino Pepite was acting head of state. His appointment came after an attempt to terminate the current ombudsman, Kalkot Mataskelekele.
