Lini lost snap elections

For the first time in Vanuatu political history that they will no Lini in national parliament of Vanuatu.

Unofficial results for snap elections on Pentecost island showed that Ham Lini did not manage to make his way to new parliament.

Ham Lini replaced his brother and the farther of Vanuatu’s independence, Walter Lini.

Walter Lini ‘s son, Charles Lini also contested snap elections in Port Vila but he was among those who lost yesterday’s elections.

David Tosul also lost the elections. The new Pentecost MPs in the parliament will be Richarl Leona from Vanuatu National Development Party, Fracois Chani from National United Party and Sailas Bule from National United. Charlot Salwai from won last seat from Pentecost with 700 votes.
